For most tasks in WebCT there are now wizards to step you through the task. These wizards will start automatically the first time you use any tool. You can exit them at any time.
If they don't launch automatically, you can always go to them via the control panel using the "Course Design Center" button.
On that screen you will see a list of the wizards from which to choose.
Below is an example of the first screen of the wizard for the chat tool. You can see there are a few options for setting up and customizing the chat tool. The wizard would walk you through the steps in each task.
Notice also that the options on the right side of the screen are greyed out, making them unselectable. This is true in any of the wizards, you can only do the steps it's leading you through. You must exit the wizard to do any other tasks.
