Tired of reading those plain text discussion board postings and emails? Now instructors and students can bring the power of HTML formatting via a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) HTML editor built right into various WebCT tools.

The HTML editor is available for instructors on the Homepage and also for creating web pages right inside WebCT. Two notes of caution:

  1. It does require your computer to be configured to run a Java Applet. If you can use the Chat tool, then you have what you need for the HTML editor.
  2. The few problems reported with this version of WebCT mostly involve the creation of content pages with the WebCT HTML editor. We would encourage you to use an outside HTML editor for creating content pages, but enjoy the extra formatting freedom the HTML editor provides for email and discussion postings.

The HTML editor has many of the tools with which you may already be familiar from word processor usage.
