What's A Browser?

A browser is a program that allows you to view Web pages. The two common browsers are Internet Explorer, and Netscape. You can get the latest version of your preferred browser by clicking on one of the images below:

Internet Explorer Logo Internet Explorer

You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer at Microsoft's Downloads Page.

Netscape Logo Netscape

You can download the latest version of Netscape at Netscape's Download Page.

On the MyWebCT page you see upon logging into your course, there is a "Check Browser" function you can use to see if your browser will work properly with WebCT.

FUN FACT:

"Did you know that the first known description of the Internet originates from a set of memos written by J.C.R. Licklider of MIT, August 1962? He describes the idea of a "Galactic Network" of computers allowing users to access information quickly."
