Load Questions into a Quiz Shell
After you've created a quiz shell, you need to add questions to the quiz. The 'best practices' method is to first Build a Question Databse. You can then select them into the quiz.
-
Click on the title of the quiz to which you want to add
questions.
(If you cannot click on the title, be sure you are in Designer view.)
-
Click on the button in the options area, "Add
questions".
-
A new window, displaying the Questions Database, will open.
The questions are organized in folders by categories. To
select questions, choose a category and click on it to
open the folder and show the contents.
-
Place a check next to each question you would like to
add to this quiz. If you want to add questions from
multiple categories, just open all the folders for the
categories and choose all the questions you want across
categories. After you've selected all the questions
you want to add to the quiz, click the "Add
Selected" button at the bottom of the window.
-
At this point, the order of the questions in the quiz
question list is the order in which they will be
presented to students. If you want to rearrange the
questions, select one question at a time by checking
the box next to it and then choosing to move the
question up or down with the controls in the options
area#
-
Once your questions are in the order you like,
you'll need to assign points for each question. You
can enter numbers with decimals (i.e., .5, 2.67) if you
need.
- Click the "Update total" button. This will add up the total point value for the quiz and display it next to "Total:".
- The last step to quiz creation is to configure the settings for the quiz to make it available for students.
