View Individual Assignment Submissions

Now you are ready to view the submissions your students have made in response to the assignment you have posted to your WebCT course site.
  1. First, from your course Homepage, in Designer Options view (the default location and view when you log in as an instructor), Click on your Assignments Tool link. In this example, the link was titled "Assignments".

  2. You will get a screen lists all of the individual assignments you have posted to your WebCT course site. Find the Assignment for which you wish to view student submissions and Click on its Submissions button.

  3. Now you will see a screen listing the students registered for your class and their submissions for this assignment. Notice that a date and time will appear in the "Submissions" column for all students who actually have a submission for your review. To view the submission, click on the words "Not Graded" in the "Status" column.

  4. This brings you to the "Grade Assignment" page. You will see a table of submissions from this student for this assignment. Select the submitted file you wish to view by clicking on its name in the table. Actually, you will be downloading this file to your local drive to view its contents at your leisure.

  5. You should see a new pop-up window called "WebCT Assignment Drop Box: View Files". Select the file you wish to view and click the Download button.

  6. Now you will see the familiar Windows pop-up utility for file downloads. Click on Save or Open, depending on your preference, and the appropriate action will take place.
